Our
Member-Covenant Statement
Dear Friends,
What is involved in becoming a member? On
one hand, it is your signature at the bottom of
the covenant and a pledge to take an active role
in the development of our new church. Yet on
the other, it is a much more meaningful
commitment. This is a covenant, a formal and
solemn agreement, and a promise for action.
We are asking you to carefully read the words of
the covenant and then take it to prayer. By
becoming a member of Capistrano Community Church,
you will be part of a growing church body, part of
a caring group of committed Christians. You
will be part of a new family. And by signing
the Membership Covenant you will be making a
commitment to do three things; keep unity in the
church, support the church and commit to the
ongoing ministry of the church.
In making a decision to sign this covenant, if
you were a prior member of Rancho Capistrano,
your membership will be transferred to our new
church. If you were not a member before, by
becoming a new member we ask that you attend “new member classes”.
During these sessions you will join others in
learning more about our church, our denomination
and being a follower of Jesus Christ.
You may have questions and you may want to spend
more time considering this commitment. I
am always available to discuss this further with
you at your convenience. I would welcome
the opportunity to meet with you. We will
welcome new members on an ongoing basis.
In Christ,
Pastor Rich Anderson

Membership
Covenant
I have accepted
Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior and I am
committed to grow as a follower of Christ. I
commit myself to God and to the ministry of
Capistrano Community Church by becoming a
member. In doing so, I agree to do the
following:
I will keep unity in my church
….By acting in love toward others….
“Love your neighbor as yourself” – Mark 12:31
….By speaking encouraging words….
“Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of
your mouths,
but only what is helpful for building others up
according to their needs” – Ephesians 4:29
….By being an example through my Christian
lifestyle….
“Conduct yourselves in a manner worthy
of the Gospel of Jesus Christ” – Philippians
1:27
I will support my church
….By attending faithfully….
“Let us not give up meeting together” – 1 Peter
4:10
….By giving regularly….
“You should set aside a specific sum of money in
proportion to what you have earned and use it
for the offering” – 1 Corinthians 16:2
….By being involved in a small group ministry….
“For where two or three are gathered together in
My name,
I am there in the midst of them” – Matthew 18:20
I will commit myself to the ministry of my
church
….By serving others….
“Each of you should look not only to your own
interests,
but also to the interests of others” –
Philippians 2:4
….By inviting others to worship and attend….
“Go out and invite them in,
so that My house may be full” – Luke 14:23
